Reverse Heart Disease Image

Reversing heart disease is possible. One must return the body to the natural / normal healthy state instead of the diseased state it has become. It takes years to achieve the diseased state and will take some time to recover natural health. Pharmaceutical drugs such as, statins or blood thinners DO NOT help to achieve health – they actually adversely affect your health. More and more studies are coming out disputing the effectiveness of statins for prolonging life. Statins (and all pharmaceuticals) actually destroy a bodies healthy state, adversely affecting all bodily systems and balance. Statins deplete Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10 levels essential to a healthy heart.
The Cause of Heart Disease

Inflammation, not cholesterol is the main cause of heart disease. Inflammation is the body’s reaction to injury, free radicals or illness. It’s purpose is to concentrate blood flow to mobilize the immune system to fight bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungus or any invader of the body or concentrate the body’ s healing ability to an injured area. There are many sources of inflamation that contribute to heart disease.

Fibrin is produced in the body to initiate healing. Scabs and scar tissue are made of fibrin. Fibrin seals off an injured area to prevent bleeding and initiate the repair of damaged tissues. When fibrin’s job is done, but the fibrin does not disolve, this contributes to sustained inflamation.

Cholesterol is one of the body’s tools for healing (good thing). It is when cholesterol is oxidized by free radicals and/or calcified (hardened with the wrong form of calcium in the bloodstream) that becomes a problem. Omega 6 oils contribute to inflamation and cholesterol plaque build-up.
Free Radicals and Heart Disease

Free radicals are unbalanced molecules (short of an electron) that attempt to achieve balance by stealing electrons from other molecules (your cells). This causes oxidation (same as rust) to cells of the body causing the cells to be damaged (less than perfect). When the lining of the arteries are damaged by free radicals in the blood, the body attempts to repair the artery with a cholesterol patch. As free radicals continue robbing electrons now from the cholesterol patches, they too become damaged and this sets the cycle of atherosclerosis.

Free radicals can be controlled with anti-oxidants. White tea contains catechins, quercetan, kaempferol, chlorogenic acid, theanine, theobromine and theophylline which are potent antioxidants and/or fight inflammation (white tea contains the least amount of flouride and aluminum found in all teas – white, green or black teas). Many vitamins fight free radicals and have other benefits for heart health. Heart healthy vitamins include A, B, C, D, E and K – yes, that is every vitamin, has heart health aspects to itself (natural form vitamins only – not the big name useless chemical crap).

Magnesium and CoQ10 is especially crucial to heart health. Your heart needs enormous amounts of energy to function properly – and CoQ10 is its main power supply. Consider this: if your heart’s CoQ10 levels were to decline by 75 percent, it would stop beating. Statins deplete CoQ10 from the heart – very bad thing.

Omega-3 fatty acids and specifically the lipid resolvin E1 component of fish oils (omega 3s) has a powerful natural anti-inflamatory function in the human body. The lipid inhibited the migration of particular human immune cells and dramatically reduced inflammation. This anti-inflamitory action is highly beneficial to many diseases, especially auto-immune diseases.

Avoid drinking and bathing in chlorinated water. Chlorine is a strong free radical source and has many negative health issues related to it. Showering in chlorinated water is worse than drinking it. When showering, the entire skin’s surface and the lungs are exposed to the chlorine in the water and as a gas.

Avoid unhealthy oils and fats – imbibe in the healthy oils and fats.
Unhealthy Fats

* Omega-6 oils – corn, sunflower, canola, soybean, peanut and safflower – omega-6 is not unhealthy, it is way out of proportion with the healthy balance of omega-3 / omega-6 / omega-9 oil ratios

* Trans-fatty acids – margarine, Miracle Whip and other partially hydrogenated oils

Healthy Fats

* Omega-3 fats – flaxseed, Chia / Salba seed, eggs, fish oil and DHA & EPA
* Extra virgin olive oil
* Extra virgin coconut oil
* GLA – Gamma-linolenic acid – borage oil
* CLA – Conjugated linolenic acid

Heart Nutrition

The heart, like every other organ or tissue, down to the cellular level, requires nutrition for proper functioning and repair. In addition to a natural multi-vitamin and multi-mineral, high levels of the amino acid L-Arginine is extremely beneficial with a lesser quantity of the amino acid citrulline. These amino acids increase growth hormone release, relax arterial walls for blood pressure relief (via NO – Nitric Oxide) and a side benefit of being a natural ED (erectile dysfunction) drugless option. OPC will counteract oxidation within the arteries preventing hardening of the arteries and preventing blockages. Heart Nutrition – Accel

Other heart healthy vitamins and supplements are vitamins C, D, E (8 subtypes: four tocopherols and four tocotrienols). E vitamins are designated as alpha, beta, gamma and delta for each type. Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10 is an energy source for the heart. A person cannot live without this vital nutrient. Flavonoids – quercetin, hesperidin, luteolin and kaempferol can lower risk in heart patients.

Bacteria, Viruses and Heart Disease

Bacteria, viruses, yeasts and fungus (and/or any foreign bodily invader) can cause damage to the lining of the arteries and set in motion the process of atherosclerosis. The same cycle occurs when the body attempts to repair the injury or scarring to the arterial walls. When my elderly mother has her teeth cleaned by the dentist, she is put on antibiotics 3 days before her teeth cleaning to prevent stress on her heart caused by bacteria being introduced into her blood from the teeth cleaning (common knowledge in the dental and medical fields – yet, you never hear it discussed as a factor in heart attacks) – myocardial infarction. Natural Anti-biotic/anti-viral/anti-fungal/anti-yeast
Stress and Heart Disease

Stress can severely influence our body’s wellness and balance. In itself, it can unleash free radicals, hamper the body’s natural healing abilities and negatively affect every aspect of health. Stress robs the body of energy that should be used for healing and repair of the body and instead, contributes to damaging every system of the body. Stress unleashes adrenaline and cortisol (an adrenal steroid hormone) into the bloodstream producing the same “fight or flight” demands on the body as if your life were in imminent danger. Prolonged stress causes adrenal fatigue and weight gain, nervous system issues, depression, anxiety, ulcers… – all bad for one’s heart.
Stress Relief and Heart Disease

The ability to handle or control stress is vitally important to heart health and every aspect of total health. Mindset, a healthy outlook and healthy perception of outside factors as they apply to oneself is important. Many tools are helpful for stress relief and stress reduction. Exercise, yoga, deep breathing, meditation and bio-feedback are the most effective stress relief tools available.

A very effective stress relief tool I use is a hardware/software solution that connects to your PC and provides instant bio-feedback via a real EEG (electroencephalogram – brain wave meter). It is an easy to follow, guided session with proof (EEG readout) that it is working. It is based on leading edge science and human psychology for combating the effects of stress on the body , anxiety relief, success and achievement and works amazingly. Just hook it up and follow along – it is effortless, simple and produces positive results.

Diseases and Conditions

Monday, March 9th, 2009

There are many diseases and conditions which afflict portions of society.  There are many reasons and many unknowns as to the cause, who is susceptible or how or why one person suffers and another does not.

The main culprits appear to be:

  • Nutritional Deficiency
  • Compromised Immune System
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Obesity
  • Toxins
  • Life Style (smoking, overeating, drugs and alcohol, lack of exercise)
  • Genetics (which can be affected by all the above)
  • Stress

Nutritional Deficiencies:

The simplest example of nutritional deficiency conditions are Scurvy, rickets and night blindness.  Scurvy is a disease caused by deficiency of vitamin C, characterized by spongy and bleeding gums, bleeding under the skin, and extreme weakness.  A simple condition to treat. Sailors suffered from this on long voyages without fruits and vegetables.  Once the cause for scurvy was discovered, they started to include citrus fruits in their diets – nutrition problem solved.  Rickets is another nutritional deficiency condition of “soft bones” caused from lack of vitamin D.  Night blindness is caused by a vitamin A deficiency…

Compromised Immune System:

Immune systems can be compromised (weakened) by a number of factors.  Vaccines / immunizations can severely compromise immune systems, you won’t hear that from health care providers though.  There are numerous “conditions” and “afflictions” due to vaccines – rather contradictory to their intended purpose of supposedly assisting the immune response to certain “invaders” of the body.  Gulf war syndrome is an example of many maladies that occur after mass innoculation or inoculation of military personel.  The theory is, introduce live or dead pathogens (bacterial, viral, fungal…) and the immune system will recognize and know how to fight the pathogens.  The theory is good but in reality it actually reduces the overall immune response to many bodily invaders.  The link between autism and mercury in vaccinations has finally come out from the medical establishment.  Poor nutrition and bad lifestyle choices also affect overall immune function / response.

Infectious Diseases:

Infectious diseases are caused by bacteria, viruses, fungus, yeasts and molds that are foreign to the human body.  In some cases, they do exist within the body but are under control of the immune system until something sets them off.  Due to the overuse of antibiotics, some infectious agents have become immune to pharmacological anti-virals and anti-biotics.  In the news lately is MRSA – methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (staph infection).  These superbugs as they are referred to are posing serious chalenges to “modern” medicine.  MRSA kills more Americans every year than HIV/Aids!  The shocking fact is the majority of MRSA infections are acquired in hospitals!  “Modern medicine” has nothing to fight MRSA but there is a natural substance that can – it is allicin, the active ingrediant in garlic.  This amazing natural antibiotic/antiviral/antifungal/anti-yeast supplement can be found here.

Obesity:

Obesity puts a strain on all body systems, not just the skeletal support system.  Adversely affected systems include skeletal, digestive, circulatory, lymph / immune system, nervous system, pulmonary, skin…  The effort expended digesting, removing toxins, strain on joints, heart, lungs could well be used for healing and normal body functions.  One of the reasons people over eat is because the necessary nutrition is not in the food.  Junk food, soft drinks, processed foods (in a box, can or bag), white sugar, white flour, white bread are the main culprits.  Completely devoid of nutrition, fiber and enzymes, these “foods” place additional strain on the body to digest and eliminate these poisons.  Metabolic enzymes are used for digestion rather than for their metabolic function – repair and healing…

Toxins:

Toxins are everywhere and inescapable, air, water, soil, food, detergents, cosmetics, personal products…  The majority of toxins are man-made.  There are over 70,000 man-made toxic chemicals.  The result is a multitude of diseases and conditions from cancer, heart disease, auto-immune disease, allergies, birth defects, DNA damage…  Our bodies have the capabilities to remove toxins from our bodies if our bodies are working correctly and have the support they need (nutritional, exercise, sleep, healthy immune system…).

Life style:

Life-style contributes to good or bad health.  Smoking, overeating, stress, and lack of exercise are the main lifestyle culprits.  Fast food, junk food and soft drinks are lifestyle choices that cross the nutrition / obesity / toxins / life-style boundaries.  Choices you have control over.

Genetics:

Genetics lead to predisposition to many diseases and conditions.  By making healthy choices you can help your body fight mutation and repair DNA.  Obviously, once you have a severe genetic condition, there is little you can do.  You can help your body deal with lesser conditions by making healthy choices on exercise, nutrition, detoxification and stress relief.

Stress:

Stress is extremely detrimental to all facets of your physical, mental health and well-being.  Stress can be avoided or minimized by how you perceive and react to your situation.  Mindset is very important (glass half full or half empty…).  Ther are many ways to dealing with stress, meditation, exercise, deep breathing and grasping the truth that you have control over how you perceive and react to all situations.  The best stress and mental health tool I have come across is the
ICAP Release Meter.

Digestive Enzymes

What Are Enzymes?

Enzymes are energized protein molecules that carry the body’s life force. They are involved in every action and reaction that occurs in every single function and cell of the body. We cannot live without enzymes. If we suffer from enzyme deficiency, our health deteriorates. Degenerative diseases are a direct result of insufficient enzyme levels. All other nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and also hormones need enzymes to carry out their functions. Enzymes are the body’s labor force. The life energy of enzymes is what sets enzymes apart from all other nutrients.

Types of Enzymes

Enzymes fall into three basic catagories of enzymes:

1. Metabolic Enzymes – These reside in your body and their function is to build and repair cells and tissues. They are also a large part of our immune systems. Metabolic enzymes carry out the body’s work.

2. Food Enzymes – These enzymes reside in raw food (not cooked or processed). Food enzymes aid in the digestion and assimilation of the food’s nutrients. Heat of over 118 degrees fahrenheit will destroy live enzymes.

3. Digestive Enzymes – These enzymes assist in the breakdown of cooked (or dead) food. Cooked food has no live enzymes to assist in the breakdown of the dead food so the body must supply the enzymes. Digestive enzymes are limited in the body and if pushed beyond their reserves will borrow from the metabolic enzymes which sets the cycle for degenerative disease.

Diagram Human Digestive System

Human Digestive System Diagram

As you can see in the above diagram, The human digestive system is very complex. There are many parts with different functions that all contribute to the desired final result – complete digestion and absorbtion of the nutrients from the food we eat. With todays “modern” foods, it is obvious as to why we need to supplement with a digestive enzyme formula. This digestive system blend must contain at least, the 7 main digestive enzymes to ensure complete digestion and utilization of food nutrients. Without it, we are destined to suffer from digestive system problems.
Why Supplement with Digestive Enzymes?

If you eat cooked or processed food, you need additional digestive enzymes. Our bodies were not designed to eat dead food. The act of eating dead food places an additional workload on the body’s stores of digestive enzymes and after some time, will be required to “borrow” from the body’s metabolic enzymes. By depleting the metabolic enzymes, you are now setting yourself up for degenerative diseases.

There are only two animals on earth that suffer from degenerative disease and premature death – mankind and our pets. This is a direct result of our “dead food” diets and digestive enzyme deficiency. Aside from cooking food, irradiation, pasturization (which is cooking = dead milk), processing and chemical food additives all destroy enzymes. You can see why our bodies cannot keep up with their repair and rebuild functions.

It is estimated 65 million Americans suffer from digestive problems. Antacids, laxatives, fiber, prescription and over the counter medications are used to mask the real problem – insufficent digestive enzymes and incomplete digestion of food. These products alone fill an entire isle in the grocery and drug stores. Antacids are actually the worst thing you can take as far as digestion of food. It neutrilizes your stomach acid which is an essential part of the digestion process. Now the body has to work even harder “trying” to breakdown the food in the intestines (food is supposed to be mostly broken down before it hits your intestines). Incomplete digestion causes many ailments further down the line (intestines) and affects the entire body’s health.
Seven Digestive Enzymes and What They Aid

1. Protease (digests proteins): anxiety, low blood sugar, kidney problems, water retention; depressed immunity, bacterial and viral infections, cancer, appendicitis, bone problems such as: osteoporosis, arthritis, and bone spurs.
2. Amylase (digests carbohydrates): skin problems (rashes, hives, herpes, canker sores), liver and gallbladder disease.
3. Lipase (digests fats): high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, spastic colon, and dizziness.
4. Cellulase (digests fiber): gas, bloating, acute food allergies, facial pain or paralysis, candidiasis (yeast infections).
5. Sucrase (digests sugars): lung problems, asthma, bronchitis, seizures, hyperactivity, mood swings, insomnia, depression, chronic diarrhea, and dizziness.
6. Lactase (digests dairy products): Relieve discomfort caused by lactose intolerance
7. Invertase (breaks down sugars): Splits sucrose into glucose and fructose – an acidic environment occurs without the action of Invertase.

In Europe, martial artists use enzymes to speed up recovery from injuries. On average, the recovery time is cut in half. An injury that would sideline an athlete for 2 weeks would now only take 1 week before they are healed! Enzymes are the “repairers” of the body. Enzymes taken on an empty stomach go straight to the blood to digest undigested food particles in the blood and tissues, repair tissues, attack parasites and more.

The best digestive enzymes (most potent and effective) I have found

Protease 120,000 HUT
Amylase 18,000 SKB
Bromelain 1,500,000 PU
Invertase 225 Sumner
Lipase 8,000 LU (800 FIP)
Cellulase 1050 CU
Lactase 225 ALU
Ionic Trace Minerals 20 mg

Natural Health and Wellness

Vital wellness – the goal of this natural health and wellness website is to make people aware of natural health alternatives to drugs (prescription and over the counter).  To assist in creating a healthy lifestyle using natural alternatives, stress relief and keeping closer to your body’s natural design. Our philosophy is – we only need to provide the body with what it requires and it will perform as it was divinely designed.  We cannot improve upon it’s design.  Vital wellness can be attained using this wellness resource site.

Why aren’t most people healthy?

Why does anyone need prescription drugs?  Are people suffering from drug deficiencies?  How did mankind get by without them for thousands of years?  Do you know the majority of drugs are based on natural substances?  Do you think man can out do God when it comes to providing healing solutions?  Why are there hundreds if not thousands of “conditions” “diseases” and “afflictions”?  Why are more and more people suffering from these “dis-eases”.  Why are these diseases and conditions not being addressed by modern medicine?  It is the result of the complete lack of nutrition in the majority of foods we eat, the toxic chemicals we are exposed to.

How I became interested in natural health and wellness
My father died at the age of 37 of a brain aneurysm.  I suffered for many years from excruciating headaches and was looking for answers   (I was extremely concerned).  I came across what I believe was a probable nutritional factor for my father’s aneurysm.  In the 1930′s, turkeys were dying prematurely at a rate of 50 percent from aneurysms.  Because farming was the major industry, the government went on an all out mission to solve this problem.  They discovered a copper deficiency in the diet of turkeys.  Just one trace mineral requirement in their diet.  From that point forward, they added copper to the turkey feed.  SIMPLE SOLUTION – the correlation to human aneurysms was never made! (or released to the public)  Obviously this is far from scientific proof, but this observation should open your eyes to the relationship of nutrition to health and wellness.

At the same time of the turkey study, it was stated as a known fact that America’s farmland soil was depleted of essential minerals for human health.  The farming methods used exhausted the mineral content of the soil, so farmers began adding N,P,K to the soil.  Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus.  While these 3 nutrients will make plants grow, the human required minerals are still missing!  If the soil is depleted, where do we get the required minerals for health?  Supplementation or organically growing your own fruits and vegetables and grazing crops while adding all the required minerals back into the soil in the amounts required and bio-actively available to the crops (very difficult and expensive) are the only ways.  Do you think the soil is better today than it was back in 1936?  Besides the lack of minerals, living micro-organisms and fulvic acids – the soil has been polluted from the air, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and dumping!

Modern day mega farms are still only adding N, P & K to the soil (and pesticides and herbicides).  The soil now is far worse off than it was back in 1936.  Only organic farmers are concerned with the condition and health of the soil.  To naturally treat or restore 1000 acres of topsoil would be a daunting task to say the least for a mega-farm.  A side benefit of the health conscious organic craze is the family farmer can compete once again, at least in the organic market if they choose.

Senate Document No. 264, 1936
Senator Duncan Fletcher, Democrat of Florida, asked that this article be put into the Congressional Record.  This senate document entry is based on the work of Dr. Charles Northen and specifically an article from Cosmopolitan Magazine back in 1936.  The following is the beginning of the article about Dr. Northen written by journalist Rex Beach:

Modern Miracle Men
DR. Charles Northen, Who Builds Health from the Ground Up
“This quiet, unballyhooed pioneer and genius in the field of nutrition, demonstrates that countless human ills stem from the fact that impoverished soil of America no longer provides plant foods with the mineral elements essential to human nourishment and Health!  To overcome this alarming condition, he doctors sick soils and, by seeming miracles, raises truly healthy and health-giving fruits and vegetables.”
By Rex Beach

Do you know that most of us today are suffering from certain dangerous diet deficiencies which cannot be remedied until the depleted soils from which our foods come are brought into proper mineral balance!  The alarming fact is that foods – fruits and vegetables and grains – now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contains enough of certain needed minerals, are starving us – no matter how much of them we eat!

This talk about minerals is novel and quite startling.  In fact, a realization of the importance of minerals in food is so new that the textbooks on nutritional dietetics contain very little about it.  Nevertheless, it is something that concerns all of us, and the further we delve into it the more startling it becomes.
The full article (print it out once displayed)

I don’t know about you, but this seems way ahead of what modern doctors are taught as far as nutrition.  If you can’t cut, radiate or drug the condition, it isn’t taught.  Why do heart attack victims in the emergency room receive intervenous magnesium?  Must be pretty important to heart health you think?  Why aren’t we taught these things from our health providers?  Must not be good for business, after all, this is disease management.  The money stops if we are cured, especially if the cure is not an overpriced pharmaceutical drug – where’s the profit? (ok, just a personal opinion rant there – sorry)
